NoChella? No problem.
It’s easy to get envious of those who are lucky enough to make it to Coachella. But just because you can’t go, doesn’t mean you have to miss out on the fun festival styles! Here are 7 hairstyles, which I hand picked from the first weekend at Coachella, that are so easy to do—you can recreate them at home!
1. Gorgeous Curls
When it comes to creating the perfect hairstyle for a music festival, you can’t go wrong with big, gorgeous curls! So, grab your curling wand and go to town; then finish with this working hairspray to give your curls a touchable hold.
**ProTip: a colorful bandanna or scarf is a great way to add a pop of color to your look, while keeping hair out of your face and off your neck!
2. Bubble Pigtails
Bubble pigtails are just super cute and fun. All you need are some little rubber hair ties and a strong-hold hairspray to create this look! Simply start by parting your hair and creating two, high pigtails. Then, begin to use those rubber bands to tie off smaller sections; use your fingers to tease and spread out the hair and achieve the “bubble” look. Continue this until you reached the end of your hair, and finish with a spritz of hairspray to finish and hold the look! You can create as many bubble sections as you like to achieve this fun festival style.
3. Space Buns
Space Buns are essentially just two top knots; so, this look is super easy to create! All you need to do it part your hair, use hair ties or bobby pins to create two little top knots, and voila—you’ve got space buns. Simply finish the look by styling with some waves, and a good amount of medium-hold hairspray.
4. Boho Braids
This look is simply stunning. Boho braids are perfect for those of you who want to rock a festival hair style without all the fuss. To create this look, part your hair down the middle, and braid each side; then use your fingers to pull at the braids to make them a little looser and messier. That’s it! You can complete the look with a finishing spray to add a flexible hold and some gorgeous shine.
5. Top Knot
The top knot has become a classic, laid back look that totally gives of the music festival vibe. Use a curling wand to create some luscious curls, then use bobby pins and/or little rubber bands to create and secure your top knot. Finish with some strong-hold hairspray to keep your top knot and curls in place, and add some volume and shine this look!
