Beauty vloggers amaze me, because they have skills that I can only dream about. I simply don’t seem to have the ability to apply winged eyeliner or blend my eyeshadow—no matter how hard I try or how many tutorials I watch. But, I have finally had enough of using that excuse and I am now dedicating an ample amount of time each day to explore and fall in love with makeup.
This week, I wanted to try out the very trendy cut crease eyeshadow look, which looks like this. Knowing my skills—or lack thereof—I obviously tried to find a #beautyhack to help, which led me to the idea of using a spoon to apply your eyeshadow and achieve this look. So, I gave it a try!
Step 1: Apply eyeshadow primer and neutral shadow to your eyelids.
Step 2: Place a kitchen spoon (or plastic one), over your eyelid! The spoons curve should essentially line up to where you’d like your cut crease to be.
Step 3: While holding the spoon in place, swipe a darker shadow along the edge of the top of the spoon to create the cut crease line.
Step 4: I repeated step 3 a few times before I got the desired look I was going for!
Step 5: Finish your eye makeup however you like!
Does the hack work?
Absolutely! I had clean lines and felt like I was ready to shoot a slow-motion video featuring my perfect eye makeup!
❤Always!
