Lucky enough to get-away this Summer? Here are the things you’ll need to pack for a successful v-cay:
A valid passport.
You probably already have your passport packed and ready to go (because it’s hard to get back into the U.S. without it)! But, did you check to make sure it’s valid? An expired passport can ruin a trip before it even begins, so be sure to check the status of your passport well before your scheduled take-off.
A small cross-body bag.
You’re traveling, so you don’t need a huge bag. But a little bag will help you keep all of your essentials organized and in an easily accessible location. Plus, a longer strap will allow you to wear your bag cross-body style for care-free traveling! (Rebecca Minkoff makes some of my favorite cross-body purses!)
A good book.
If I’m going on a long plan ride, you can bet I forgot that book I was really excited about and picked up specifically for that vacation. So, don’t do what I do! Instead, pack the book inside your suitcase, and pull it out once you get to the airport. That way you don’t forget to grab it off of the counter as you’re leaving.
Light-weight sunscreen.
No, putting on sunscreen won’t stop you from getting that perfect tan—it’ll just save your skin from sun damage! Neutrogena Ultra Sheer Lightweight Sunscreen Spray is perfect because it goes on quickly, and dries without leaving a greasy film on your skin.
Sunglasses.
This is another thing I commonly forget while packing for trips. Having your favorite, trusty pair of sunglasses while you’re away on a sunny vacation is one of those elements of comfort, for me. Plus, nobody wants to squint the whole trip. So, don’t forget to pack a pair of sunglasses! (P.S. I have had my Ray-Ban Aviators for over six years now! And I would definitely recommend them if you’re looking for a new pair of sunglasses.)
A hair accessory of some sort.
A hat. A scarf. A scrunchie (yes, they’re back in style). A plain ol’ hair tie. Whatever floats your boat! Simply remember to back something that will help you manage your hair when you just don’t want to do it, or need it out of your face.
A disposable camera.
Yes, I know it’s 2018. Yes, I know all of our phones come equipped with cameras that are perfect for selfies. However, I believe there is something special in the development of picture film. So, if you don’t have a reusable film camera, like a Polaroid, pick up a disposable camera for your next trip. It’s a little old school, but I think that’s part of the fun!
❤ Always!
